Mini Brie en-Croûte
This is one of my favorite party appetizers! So simple to pull together, but an absolute delight to eat.
Ingredients
1 sheet frozen puff pastry
6 mini wheels of brie (or larger piece of brie divided into 2-inch pieces)
6 tablespoons Girl Meets Dirt Island Plum Jam
1 egg
Extra flour, for dusting
Flaky sea salt
Let’s Make It!
Thaw the puff pastry sheet in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat the oven to 400. Lightly dust a cutting board and rolling pin with flour, then roll out the sheet of pastry until slightly bigger in size.
Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Add the brie to each piece and top with 1 tablespoon of plum jam. Fold the edges up around the brie and firmly press to seal.
Place the wrapped brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet, with at least 2 inches of room between each. Beat the egg then use a pastry brush to brush the tops of each piece. Top with flaky sea salt.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden-browned. Allow to cool for a few minutes; serve warm.
